The hills really are alive

On our last morning in Innsbruck, Bill and I took the funicular up the mountain. Why did we wait until the last day? Well, we didn’t. We tried to take the funicular our first Friday in Innsbruck, but the automatic ticket machine across the street from our hotel wasn’t working – so we decided we could wait for the second week. Unfortunately, to our dismay (since the first week was gorgeous), it was overcast every single day of our second week…except Friday – and even then, Friday morning started out cloudy. But the clouds must have listened to my command, because they lifted in time for us to go up the mountain (we still had to find another station because the automatic ticket machine by our hotel STILL wasn’t working) just before we had to catch our train back to Munich. I'll admit it, a couple of songs from the Sound of Music escaped my lips (much to Bill's dismay) Enjoy!

Innapropriate footwear, anyone?

Absolutely breathtaking! And I LOVE the flipflops in the snow, because when the Sound of Music is in your heart and eyes, does it really matter what is on the feet??? (unless you are hiking and then, yes, those are pretty ridiculous. ;) )
